The artist Ian Irving has ben painting and drawing - and printmaking - for most of his adult life. After a career in journalism and graphic design, London-born Ian spent some years in Wales. Then he and his partner settled in Dumfries and Galloway in south-west Scotland, returning to the countryside he knew from holidays as a child - his father came from the area. The region's rolling hills with their nestled farm buildings and sheep-dotted fields are a frequent source of inspiration for his paintings. Ian has shown work in numerous exhibitions in London, Wales and Scotland, and welcomes commissions.
